in order to overhaul the rear axle it has to be taken apart

Something you don’t see very often: an empty rear axle

Damage diagnosis: bearing and seals are worn out due to old age and use – the differential has to be taken apart

after installing the new bearing the backlash has to be set at the differential

the rear axle can be now reassembled; some oil and on we go

the engine has to be overhauled as well
